Save On Maintenance Costs, Fines, and Employee Costs

Traditional buildings with boilers usually necessitate the presence of a full-time certified engineer and frequent breakdowns lead to costly repairs.

With STØNE,

  1. NO need for on-site engineer as each power module has under 10 tons of heating power.
  2. NO need for constant maintenance
  3. NO more total failures. In the event of a module failure, the other modules can increase their output to compensate until the faulty module is repaired.

Peace of mind

Our 10-year limited warranty offers peace of mind, assuring building owners that they are investing in a high-quality system designed to operate trouble-free for many years to come.

FAQ

What is the voltage requirement for STØNE room modules?

STØNE room modules can work in 115v or 220v.

What is the voltage requirement for STØNE outdoor power modules?

7300 watts is required for the STØNE power module.

Does STØNE work with a steam pipe system?

No, STØNE is designed for hydronic (water loop) systems. Buildings with unsalvageable steam pipes may opt to repipe the building to support hydronics.

What is the ratio of indoor room modules to outdoor power modules?

One power module is needed for 8-10 room modules.

How much space does the outdoor power module take up?

A STØNE power module is about 300 pounds and is 56W x 56H x 16D. There are multiple possibilities for placing the units. They can be stacked on a roof, on the ground, hung on the wall, and even recessed into the wall.

Where does the room module go?

The room module will be placed where the radiator once was before removing it, using your existing piping infrastructure.

Do I require a full-time maintenance operator as I do for my chiller or boiler?

No. Due to STØNE's compact modular approach and no hassle maintenance, it does not require an onsite operator. This savings should be factored into the cost analysis of the project.

What considerations are needed to deal with condensate?

STØNE does not drip the condensate on people’s heads. Instead, STØNE injects the condensate into the existing radiator piping system that is now being used to power the STØNE room module. No drain is required.

Does STØNE provide domestic hot water?

Yes. This optional hot water module replaces hot water heaters and provides continuous hot water and can feed a huge hot water storage tank.

Does STØNE qualify for rebates or tax credits?

Yes. NY Clean Heat Program from ConEd, Low Carbon Pathways from NYERDA, and IRS tax credit up to $2,000 are some of many programs available for STØNE.

Will Ephoca help with the planning and getting rebates?

Yes. Ephoca offers a Turnkey program that includes assistance with planning, rebates, permits, financing, deployment, training, and maintenance.
